How a B shot can help health

B12 shots, B12 for energy, fatigue, immune system boost, brain fog, stubborn weight loss, metabolism, mental health

Sluggishness.

Dull mood.

Lingering cold or virus symptoms.

Listlessness.

Brain fog.

Stubborn weight loss.

Whether deficient in B12 or not, a boost of this vitamin can be just what is needed to put the spring back in your step.

What’s all the fuss about?

B12 is a vital nutrient the central nervous system and brain need to form red blood cells and DNA. It can support the immune system and as well as metabolic health by helping the body use energy effectively. The body does not make B12 on its own; it is normally provided from animal protein such as meat and dairy, fortified foods such as juices and cereals, and supplements.

And it can also be taken as a shot.

A B shot (as Dr. G refers to it), boasts the nutrient cyanocobalamin, a form of B12 that echoes B12 in the body.  It can:

  • increase energy
  • balance mood
  • optimize brain function
  • promote healthy metabolism (i.e., burning fat appropriately and using carbohydrates effectively)

Some people can be deficient in B12 – particularly those who frequently eat a plant-based diet as well as those who are dealing with acute and/or chronic stress – but, even if not deficient in lab testing, a boost of this vitamin can reap just as much benefit for many.

Commonly, Dr. G finds this supportive for clients who are:

  • feeling anxious, depressed, and/or feel mood imbalance
  • stuck in their weight loss journey
  • feeling fatigued and/or restless
  • having difficulty getting over a cold or virus

as well as for those who just don’t quite feel like themselves.

It can be taken weekly, monthly, or on an as-needed basis and are offered individually and as a package in our office.
