Care For Yourself – Mind, Body And Spirit

Wellness reset, holistic self-care, rest, recovery, rejuvenation, self-care practices, acupuncture, massage and reiki

We’ve reached the final full week of our Fall Into Wellness Reset! Throughout the past month, we’ve explored resetting your health with nourishing your body, joyful movement, and mindfulness. Now it’s time to prioritize holistic self-care, emphasizing rest, recovery, and rejuvenation.

Do you ever feel like you spend all your energy taking care of everyone else, but forget to care for yourself? I get it – my job is to care for others, but I still struggle with finding time for me. Sure, bubble baths and yoga sound great, but self-care doesn’t always mean escaping for a spa day. It’s about doing the small, impactful things that truly help your body and mind feel better—even in the midst of a busy life.

Holistic self-care is about more than fuzzy slippers and scented candles. It’s about protecting your energy, setting boundaries, and nurturing your well-being in ways that support your body, mind, and spirit. Functional medicine plays a key role in finding what works best for you, helping you achieve optimal wellness that fits your unique health needs and goals.

As we wrap up our 30 Day Wellness Reset, let this be your reminder to slow down, refocus, and reset your self-care practices. Whether it’s an evening walk, mountain biking, or taking a moment for breathwork, self-care equips you with sustainable habits to feel balanced, healthy, and energized. Now is the time to turn your gaze from the needs of others back to yourself.

As we refocus on caring for ourselves, it’s also important to explore the tools and treatments that can further support our wellness journey. Whether you’re looking to relieve pain, reduce stress, or rejuvenate your skin, Colorado Natural Medicine + Acupuncture offers a range of therapies designed to support your body, mind, and spirit.

Acupuncture

As a licensed acupuncturist at Colorado Natural Medicine & Acupuncture, both Melissa Crum, LAc, and I offer acupuncture in complementary ways. We treat acute and chronic pain, hormonal imbalances, sleep, digestive issues, and more.. My approach is influenced by my background in naturopathic medicine, and Melissa’s practice is enhanced by her expertise in aesthetic and facial acupuncture. As a team, we provide a continuity of care that leaves our patients feeling supported and well cared for.

With the addition of facial acupuncture and microneedling to our practice, we offer a holistic and specialized method that goes beyond surface-level treatments, focusing on inner health as the key to external skin care.

Massage & Reiki

Kim Masia, LMT, is a licensed massage therapist and Reiki practitioner at CNMA. Similarly to acupuncture, integrative massage emphasizes the positive flow of blood and energy through the body. Kim specializes in a technique called Bamboo Fusion, using heat to soothe tense muscles, improve circulation, release tightness, and enhance flexibility. The unique texture and shape of the bamboo allow for deeper tissue manipulation.

Kim is also a skilled Reiki practitioner. Reiki is a Japanese technique that focuses on channeling energy throughout the body to promote internal and external healing. It’s a gentle and non-invasive approach. Reiki aims to treat the whole person, including mind, body, and spirit.

Remember, self-care is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. This week is a great time to prioritize activities that nurture yourself and bring you peace. Whether it’s a massage, an acupuncture session, or simply taking a quiet moment for yourself, caring for your body and mind is essential to resetting your health.

By incorporating these habits into your lifestyle, you’ve taken a significant step toward achieving optimal wellness. We would love to continue this journey with you.
