5 Supplements You Should Consider Taking Daily

Have you walked into your local vitamin store feeling a bit overwhelmed?

With rows and rows of supplements as well as ads boasting how they can all help you live better, it’s enough to make our heads spin.  And if we listened to every advertisement or claim, we could easily go broke!

So what are the most important supplements to take on a daily basis?

What gives you the most bang for your buck?

And what about specialty supplements based on your individual needs?

Dr. Graves is here to answer these common questions and provide you guidance in your daily supplement regimen!

Following he gives advice on what we should all consider taking daily…

  1. Probiotics.

Because so much of our overall health starts with our gut, probiotics can play a major role in how we feel.

Dr. Graves recommends a minimum of 20 billion live cultures daily and 100 billion live cultures for 30 days after any course of antibiotics.

  1. Vitamin D.

Living in a cooler climate for half of the year can limit our body’s production of vitamin D and leave many of us depleted.

Considering this can affect how our immune systems function in fighting off bacteria and viruses, how strong our muscles and bones are, and even how effective our brains function, vitamin D is crucial to our overall health.

Taking a minimum of 2,000 IU a day, particularly from Labor Day to Memorial Day can be beneficial.  And taking vitamin D with vitamin K may help our bodies absorb the nutrient even more.

  1. Omega 3s.

If you don’t eat fish at least three times a week, you may want to consider adding an Omega 3 into your daily supplement program.

Omega 3s fight inflammation, support heart and brain health, and they may even have anti-cancer properties.

4 – 5. Personalized.

Each one of us has different needs for optimal health based on our daily lifestyle, diet, careers, family life, past experiences and traumas, genetic history, etc., so it’s important to select 1-3 supplements that support any specific issue you deal with.

More common personal issues can include:

Managing Stress – Adrenal Response® by Innate Response or AdrenoMend™ by Douglas Laboratories®

Getting Better Sleep – Cortisol Manager™ by Integrative Therapeutics® and Insomintrol™ by Designs for Health®

Inflammation/Pain – CBD oil or cream and Curcumin by Pure Encapsulations
