Background and Experience:

Q: Can you tell us about your journey into massage therapy and what inspired you to become a massage therapist?

“I decided to become a massage therapist after being in the spa industry for several years in esthetics. I wanted to address wellness concerns through the use of integrative bodywork. I received my certification from Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado in 2011, I have been a licensed massage therapist for 13 years.”

Q: What are your areas of specialization within massage therapy? Are there specific techniques or modalities you are particularly passionate about or find especially effective for your clients?

“I specialize in therapeutic massage addressing postural and structural issues, stress and TMJ. I also utilize myofascial release technique to address concerns on a deeper level. I will use a variety of modalities during the massage session such as hot stone and cupping therapy. I am very passionate about bringing balance to clients.”

Technique & Approach

Q: You utilize a variety of modalities in your regular 60 or 90 minute massage therapy session. Which ones do you offer?

“I use a variety of modalities in my regular sessions, hot stones are used to help melt the tension in the muscles as well as increase circulation. Cupping therapy is used to lift fascia and manipulate muscles. I also use t-bars for lamina groove work and also other targeted treatments. Clients have specific needs and having a variety of modalities helps tailor each treatment to address them.”

Q: You offer several specialized services like Gua Sha, Zoku Shin Do, facial massage, and LED light therapy. Are these strictly standalone treatments, or can they be incorporated as add-ons to enhance a traditional 60 or 90-minute massage session?

“The specialized services can be standalone treatments or they can be added on to a 60 or 90 minute therapy session as an enhancement.”

Gua Sha

Q: You offer Gua Sha as one of your services. Could you explain what Gua Sha is and how it helps clients?

“Gua Sha is a facial massage technique that originates from traditional Chinese medicine. A smooth jade tool is used to increase circulation, release toxins and increase cell turnover for healthy skin.”

Zoku Shin Do

Q: Zoku Shin Do is a unique modality. Can you describe what it involves and who would most benefit from it?

“Zoku Shin Do is a leg and foot massage focusing on key pressure points to increase circulation and rejuvenation to help relieve pain and neuropathy.”

Facial Massage

Q: Facial massage is becoming increasingly popular. What are the key benefits of facial massage, and how does it complement other therapies?

“Facial massages are key to pro-aging by relaxing the facial muscles, increasing circulation and cell turnover creating a healthy glow. Facial massage also helps relieve sinus pressure and TMJ.”

LED Light Therapy

Q: You also offer LED light therapy. Can you explain what this therapy is and the conditions it’s most effective for?

“LED (light-emitting diode) light therapy treats different skin concerns like acne, rosacea, fine lines, and hair loss.”
